Die Welt der Schiffsmodelle | DSM

With this exhibition the DSM wanted to show their visitors the diverse and fascinating history and craftsmanship of miniature ships. The DSM wanted to focus on the scientific classification of miniature ships they had develop over the years. We came up with the „card index box“ as a guiding theme for the exhibition design using for instant oversized folder strips as separation walls between the categories and index cards for the introduction text panels.

The furniture design was inspired by the typical model ship makers work and display spaces, using trestles as a support for the showcases.
